Show Report: Saturday, August 8th, Floyd’s Music Store
August 10, 2009
Dateline, Saturday night: We blew the roof off of Floyd’s Music Store in our most hard-hitting performance to date. Thanks a lot to everyone who came out, to the other bands, and to Floyd’s for having us. We went first in the lineup, and got the crowd moving. Here’s what we played:
- Cracks in the Pavement
- The Uncut Hair of Graves
- So It Goes
- Don’t Start Me Down This Road
- This is the End
- Wrong With Me
We had to cut one song from our set. We chose to skip “Stay With You,” an epic mid-tempo barn-burner on which Justin de la Cruz takes the helm. If you missed this song as much as we did, come see us at the Engine Room on Wednesday, August 12th, when we’ll hopefully get to tear through our whole set.
One attendee asked us to all sign a drumstick (is it possible he had us mixed up with someone else?), and another long-haired guy told us he wrote reviews of local shows on his Web site. We’ll post a link here if we ever track him down.
